People have been asking about using the eGO name and such in things outside of Edge Gamers™, like in a movie, group, etc. Hope this clarifies.
"A registered trademark confers a bundle of exclusive rights upon the registered owner, including the right to exclusive use of the mark in relation to the products or services for which it is registered. The law in most jurisdictions also allows the owner of a registered trademark to prevent unauthorized use of the mark in relation to products or services which are identical or "colourfully" similar to the "registered" products or services, and in certain cases, prevent use in relation to entirely dissimilar products or services." - Wikipedia
The TM on the end of our names states that these names [=(e)=™, =(eG)=™, =(eGO)=™, and EdgeGamers™] are trademarked and you must have permission from the holder [The Council] to use it. When you have been accepted into the clan you have permission to use the rank with the ™ symbol at the end. You may use the TM here on the forums, or in your tag, BUT you are not allowed to use it for any outside group or organization without the council's approval first. You (Whether e, eG or eGO] have only been given permission to wear it as a tag NOT to use it for any other means.

To get the TM go to Wordpad or Note pad and hold Alt + 0153 then copy it into your name.
