Well, I started gaming during the summer vacations at France, but now, I'm back to my home country (Algeria). Well, the highest internet speed is 1 mb/s, and mine is 512 kb/s, literally takes me 4 minutes to load a 3 minute video. It's downloading Steam updates at 3-4 kb/s, lol.

Oh well, I guess I'm going to take a 2-3 year break from gaming, or maybe internet speed will improve till then. :)

I guess see ya till then! :)

EDIT: My ping isnt so high afterall!! So I can continue playing! :D

That sucks. I don't know how it works over there, but maybe write a letter to the higher ups over there and see what they can do. Maybe you could be the first with faster internets.

alright, you should have tried to live in my country (or area) where average download speed is around 60kbps. imagine the time spent on downloading a 3 minutes video.. :scared:

I don't need to imagine.. I can see it happen.. I download a 5 mega software, and it took me about 2-4 minutes. How do you play on eGO servers tho? My ping would be 400+
 
Well, if it is 5mb software it only took 1 minute (2 minutes at most)
I can play smoothly on almost every eGO server though (havent tried every games supported by eGO so i said almost) my ping is below 300 and won't lag everybody on server.

But sometimes, i feel that steam download manager does "limitbreak" my download speed and rocketed to 1.6mbps for almost an hour.
 
My ping is only 200 on the HS server ! :D

A bit laggy on my side, but manageable. It still has a horrible download rate.
 
Could be worse. Have you tried living in Antarctica? lol
 
Anything over 500 kb/s isn't bad for gaming.

I did it not too long ago with 200 and it played COD 4 fine. I couldn't really watch videos at all, but it still gamed.

Yeah, but I can't download while streaming, while playing anymore .. :3

If I do that, my internet literally crashes.. :p
