TUNeGO

this is what I found about the .pls files:
Tunes, QuickTime Player, Real player, Winamp, XBMC, XMPlay, VLC media player, popular GNU/Linux media player Rhythmbox, and foobar2000 play PLS files without any extra codecs.[citation needed] Media Player Classic with K-Lite codec installed does work with PLS format but still requires the appropriate MIME or file extension associations.

What on earth is a .pls file?

In answer to that its .pls
PLS file is a multimedia playlist. It can be created/edited using a simple text editor (Notepad). PLS is a proprietary format used for playing Shoutcast and Icecast streams.
Ii may be played windows media, itunes, winamp, and many more.
Dont save the stream open it with one of the above media players or use your fav one most support the ability to play back this file extention.

hope that helps

Is there a way to have it NOT buffer every 5 seconds? If it didn't do this, I would listen more often.

interesting

lots of club music

let us know when DJ tryouts are :)

+1. I need to brush up on my mixing skills, not to mention I need to find a way to import the music I mix on my tables into my computer. If anyone can help with that, feel free to PM me please.

Hey VP,
It only constantly buffers when you're internet connection is boggling down, or if you're doing a lot on your computer while you're tuned in. It is most likely your internet connection.

I've listened for the last 2500 minutes without any issues.

Let me know if this still continues.

If its just gonna be rock and club/techno/whatever you call it, i'm gonna go cry and rage.

Why don't you share what genre's of music you would like to listen to?

Judging by my kanye west avatar, kanye west sig, and how every post i make i get trolled cause i like kanye west, i'd say its pretty obvious that i'm a huge country music fan.

We'll definitely be making a lot of changes to the genres of music on the radio. Stay tuned!

Hello everyone,

As the founder of TuneGO (eGO Radio) I wanted to take a moment and answer some questions we see here on the forums every day. First, the genres of music, the radio is geared toward gamers and gamers alike, providing the most energetic and adrenalin pumping music available. We achieve this playing genres from Trance to Rock and Roll. Our goal is to reach markets that haven’t been touched by Internet radios yet. We have a chance do something big here with TuneGO, aiming for all gamers a like, whether they like Pop or R n B. To have them listing to our stream because they like our dedication and hard work is what we are looking forward to. We also have a staff working behind the scenes every day trying to get the station fully developed and running. We do take in any genre specification or ideas that anyone brings up. If you have any ideas and suggestions we are open to hear them, please contact [email protected] with your song suggestions and ideas. As far as DJ Try outs go, we will posting DJ applications soon as we are done with the back end work. There will be more information to come on this as soon as we get to phase 2 of our production work.

Sincerely,
Boktai

Awesome to hear Boktai! I would love to help you in anyway humanly possible in the future. Just kindly PM me & let me know how I can be of assistance.

I would offer songs and suggestions but due to the graphic content in the music I listen to I have a feeling it would never end up on there.

Cool idea though, tested and it streams fine for me with no buffering issues.

Noise,
I’m sorry that you feel that way. However, please don’t take my post and quote it out of context. I wrote and I quote “We achieve this, playing genres from Trance to Rock and Roll. Our goal is to reach markets that haven’t been touched by Internet radios yet. We have a chance do something big here with TuneGO, aiming for all gamers a like, whether they like Pop or R n B.” Several of your fellow eGO members, are putting hard work and dedication in to provide this service to the community. We understand at TuneGO that everyone has a different taste in musical genres; we are trying to cover everything. That is something listeners need to keep in mind with TuneGO, we are not going to play your iTunes library for you, we are full-fledged digital broadcasting station, the same as your local FM station, but geared toward gamers. We do hope that you take the time to consider this before chocking up TuneGo to just a way side thing. I will personally see to it that Mr. West gets in to the rotation.

P.S. Hordor, go ahead and make suggestions we have the capability of editing songs down our self, or acquiring the radio edited versions.

Sincerely,
Boktai
