Just like BC2 has a single player campaign story line, BF3 will have one as well.

Fair enough, but if you think about it, the levels in the campaign are limited zones and "maps" so it makes sense

Sometimes the campaign maps correlate with the multiplayer maps. The question is: was the map intended for multiplayer or story reasons. Because a lot of the COD maps in SP and MP, in a way, were the same in regards to scenery and locations.

Maybe, just maybe they are sticking with the true Battlefield singleplayer and making it instant action maps with bots!...If only. As previously stated, probably just because each *sigh* cinematic singleplayer level is actually a map, it is listed by a map name rather than a level name.
