Ok, I realize that I wasnt as clear as I was before, so here is a better virsion of what I want.

I would like a desktop that will hold alot of memory. I plan just to play CS:S, TF2, COD, and minecraft (yes, it acutually lags on my laptop). I would like a big-ish monitor, a good inexpensive keyboard, and a mouse (both wired). I would NOT like to build my own computer, and I have heard some good things about alienware. Price range: $1 - $850
Any sugestions?

Try iBuyPower, they make excellent systems for cheaper than Alienware, and I think they used to sponsor us back in the day, or maybe that was a different company. Anways, for $850, you'll be hard-pressed to find a good-performing gaming computer with everything you're looking for (monitor, good keyboard, etc.) WITHOUT building it yourself (which honestly isn't all that difficult).

Best of luck.

I don't think you needed to make a new thread to be honest...

Either way, my recommendation would be eBay - easily find one to match the spec you want. Get a minimum 4GB memory with a top end graphics card, I personally don't know what graphics you'd need but I use an 'out-dated' ATI HD Radeon 4850 - runs css, l4d2, brink and other games perfectly, just can't so much handle BC2 for a weird reason.

Not to sound like a troll, Alienware is a little out of the 850 range. Alienware gaming desktops start at around 1200

i would reccomend ibuypower to to, unless you lookin for the cheapest rig for the right price then i would just go on to new egg and buy all the peices off their, get someone to help you. I'm about to order a computer off newegg sometime this month

Or you could just buy a standard computer from retailers like Best Buy which is what I did, saves you trouble and CSS works fine on it, which means I wouldn't see why Minecraft and TF2 wouldn't. Mine cost around 400-500, cant remember exactly

Rootbeer why don't you want to build your own computer?

Also you won't find many machines with much more than 4 gigs of memory in your price range.

I think the tech help forums would be more beneficial for you if you were to post there if you already havent. However, I can offer you a bit of help. If you are looking around and have no personal preference of what you are looking at brand wise, then shop around check out newegg for some of their pre-built PC's, look at local stores around you, look at dell, gateway, asus, hp etc etc.

You obviously are looking for a gaming machine so do some comparisons and some research into what the components are for the machine (reviews and such). Do some digging around.
