Late Night Admining

Hi all,
I found last night for me/early morning for the US that there are still a lot of people playing in our Heavy Metal Server, here lies the issue and that is that there are no admins on at that time and therefore base killing is a huge problem.

I looked up and down Ventrilo for admins that would have the game and be able to kick, but as my knowledge of those people are limited, I could not find any admins.

Are there any solutions that we could come up with to solve these problems? Possibly players that are on during those hours to be promoted would be the best or others that are willing to stay up later?

Someone would have to go through admin training, I believe, since none are available during that time to help with reinforcing the rules of the server. Good topic though, since different times of the day do not make the rules avoidable.

I am usually on during those hours and can be found idling in Vent. Lately I have been having to leave my computer to go attend family affairs, but I am now back so hopefully you can find me in Vent or on steam.

I am normally on, however recently I have been very busy with work during the odd hours that i normally play. Whenever I am online in Vent I will jump in.

Cheers guys, honestly I do feel we do need more admins on during the early morning hours.
I have been online with Beemermarine most of these late nights and because I live in NZ and the time difference and to put someone like me thorough admin training wouldn't take to long as I am on most of the time others are.

I am on many late nights as well, depending on my shift rotations. I come from the clouds @ night, Watch Out !

Believe me, this is a very well-known concern of leadership, I've personally brought it up more than once and it has been looked into and is continuing to be looked into. The best solution is for you guys to utilize the dropbox and leave a suggestion/recommendation of some sort to leadership. This will give them even more incentive to look into it than they already have.

I'm unfortunately incapable of helping anyone with any admin issues sunday evening through friday morning due to my work/class scheduling. Once the end of november/early december hits I'll be back into my regular schedule and be more available to you late night guys like I used to. Make sure you have me added on steam (TheAngryPanda), Origin (TheAngryPanda), or even PM me on these forums (I read them quite often actually).

Hope it gets settled soon and again, remember to use the dropbox.

First of all, as an e you can still ask them to stop. If they do not, there are two options. First try to grab an admin, but if the disrespect continues or if they disrespect you, drop off a ban request. Usually a well-executed, proper ban request will go through. Otherwise, we do need more admins on at those times. However, remember, removing one person is likely to make their buddies leave, and we don't want to empty the server. It goes both ways; honestly I think it just depends on the amount of trouble being caused. Essentially, ask yourself: is it better to remove this someone, or will the server be better off not doing so? I recognize there will be cases of each, just trust your own evaluation of the situation. It will guide you the in the correct direction.

I have been dropping the bad folks in the ban request box. The Ban Hammer strikes from near & far. For the most part a large majority does conform to our rules, there is always going to be one bad apple. We always try verbally speaking to them via game chat. Many times the offender will apologize, and go back to game play & better behavior. Problem solved. If not the ban box does not cost a thing and eGO leadership will pay the postage. :thumbup: Swamp
