He switches weapons quickly so that he can chamber a round about %33 faster, is this cheating?

I wouldn't call it cheating, and it's been present in most of the recent Battlefield games and pretty much all the Call of Duty games.

Its the same in TF2 sniping, I don't see how its cheating...I mean, I understand that yes, it wasn't meant to be that way, but if EA leaves it in the game, [personally] I wouldn't admin it.

It's an exploit that should be corrected by EA, either by forcing the player to reload without switching, or making the player reload when switching back to that same weapon. That really isn't skill, it's just abusing the flawed mechanics of the game.

Not cheating. You can take advantage of quicker weapon reloads in BC2 by switching to your secondary then back to your primary.

There was a chart showing at what point (screenshot) you can switch to your secondary for each primary, and how much time it would save.

Honestly...there was no reason to use the bolt action sniper rifles during beta in my opinion as all the semis (MK11 and SVD) 1 shot killed on headshots. Total I think i got maybe 2000 kills combined with those 2 weapons during beta.

And I agree with Jarrod's Post. You could do the same thing in BC2 with bolt action snipers and also the pump action shotguns. I was hoping they had fixed it...but i guess not.

To me it just kills the realism and makes the game a lot less fun, so I consider it cheating.

The truth is in all games and in life it really is faster to switch to your sidearm then reload a magazine.

I know this, its the fact that this exploit allows him to completely skip chambering another round, which you can't do in reality.

Battlefield is supposed to be realistic? LOL

Is binding the fire button to your mouse wheel cheating? I think not!

hes talking its faster to pull the side arm and re equip the sniper rifle because he never re cocks the gun, he just happened to shoot at some people with his side arm too but u could see him do it a few times where he just switched and switched back with hot keys immeditally just to avoid the re cocking animation that takes longer apperntally

Leave it be, can't be admined.

Snipers in all games have had no potential in teamplay and they just run and gun or shoot from afar. BF3 in my opinion has changed the sniper into a mobile killing teamplayer. Also if your going against them its only a matter of time before you knife/kill the guy.

Not everything has to be realistic, or else I would have played ARMA II, or something along those lines. Battlefield contains some realistic values, but also traditional game values. The thing is, quick reloading is an exploit that is simply wavered because it isn't admin-able. I like to play by mechanics, not by abusing them to my own needs.

It's not cheating.

And if you think about it, this is type of game play that makes us PC gamers awesome.

Reminds me of my DoD:S days. Aim, snipe, double tap Q key, repeat.

You should seriously watch quake and unreal tournaments--now that is awesome and legit player action.
