BF3 Bad or Good

I personal though the beta was very good. The graphics where fantastic the gameplay was smooth other the the occasional glitches.

But in saying this a far few people really disliked the game. They were complaining that there where to many glitches and the hit damage was wrong. I agree some of this things were poorly designed but, what some people forgot was its a BETA! Meaning they are trying to fix these problems.

I just wanted to see who agrees with me.

My opinion 4.5/5 For Beta, if all this problems are fixed I am willing to give it a 5/5!

I didn't play the beta too much, but one thing that I found particularly annoying was the lighting effects. Everything that emits light of any kind seems to be brighter than the sun like flashlights. While it does make the game look pretty, I found it overly excessive. So I semi enjoyed the beta.

I liked the beta, and the fixes that have been shown in the new trailers make me even more exited for it, but the fact that Origin can spy on me makes me uncomfortable, but hey, I don't care. Half the world has pirated software installed anyway, so if on the VERY low chance that they pull me out of the basket at random it will be an easy case to win.

So 5/5 for the game -0.5 for the deceptive purpose.

It's alright. Though, the game has done little to differentiate itself form other Battlefield games. A new engine really isn't a dramatic change.

Whaaaaaaaat? You can say that with a straight face? A new engine is ALWAYS a dramatic change. It could suck beyond comparison from its predecessors, it could be awesome more than you imagined. Quake IV used a new engine from its predecessor, and I remember everyone going "Whoaa..."

An engine is merely a template used to create the game. It's how the developer utilizes the engine that matters. If DICE makes roughly the same game as before, then a new engine might as well be a new coat of paint.

Now I'm not saying that BF3 is a bad game. It's just a game that hasn't really changed much from its predecessor.

And the game has changed quite a bit since it predecessor (BF2). Now if you ment BFBC2 then you are partially correct.

I'll admit to incremental changes, but on a whole it hasn't changed much. I'm frankly looking forward to the singleplayer campaign, that looks ridicules.

Frankly I agree with you that the game hasn't changed much, but It has changed a lot. Same game play(Battlefield 2 how I've missed you so), but a different look and animations. Hopefully BF3 will live up to be battlefield 2's predecessor.

BETA in a nutshell:
- Can your computer handle it? If not buy whatever you need to run it so you can buy the game so we can get more money!!!
- Post your opinions on the "official website"!!!!!!
The ONLY thing developers look for on this "official website" is for glitches and whatnot to fix in patches so people can't exploit them down the road which causes a lack of like-ment for the game which is bad for the developer.
This is not a MMORPG such as WoW so do you really think they are going to change bullet damage and whatnot when people will just make mods such as ProMod for CoD4 or Project Realism for BF2?
Bullet damage, jump height etc etc is what it is so deal with it or wait for a mod or if ambitious create a mod. Don't judge a game based on its "reality" feel because honestly... do you know what being shot by an M16 feels like? If not then how do you know it "feels" wrong?

I'll probably buy it, the game does feel a little bit different but still feels like battlfeild, personally i hated the two beta maps but im sure there is gonna be alot more. I like the over all game play though the things i didnt like will most likly be ironed out in finished product so over all i liked it

I actually have to agree on a fundamental level on the statement that I only noticed 2 (kinda big though) differences.

1. Destruction of environments, which is a huge step forward from BF2

2. Class customization that no other BF has come close to (not even 2142 or BFBC2 has the scale of it)



However saying that and playing it on the 360, I preordered months ago and played over 40 hours on the beta in the first week alone... I must say I am excited

I thought the beta was good and all, but the bad part is there was way to many snipers, and rpgers in the game. Not to mention half of CoD's playerbase is coming over to BF3 now so I'm kinda expecting more campers and what not. But overall good game.
