BF3 Bad or Good

Origin gives me absolutely zero problems with Battlefield 3. It's the BattleLog that makes this game worse than it could be.

Who came up with this dumb idea that you have to go on your browser and then join servers through that? It means 1) I can't shortcut BF3 through Steam and 2) This system does not work perfectly, so on occasion it just means I can't connect to any servers. Also 3), when your internet is down you can't play BF3 singleplayer.

@Ranthus The internet down is always the biggest complaint about having to always log in over the Internet to play. *points at Blizzard!* Not as big of a problem as it was, says 2 or 3 years ago, because Internet is available more, but that problem is always there and always a pain in the posterior.

  • I hate having the game restart everytime I change servers.
  • Load times SUCK!
  • Can't browse servers while in a server. (+1 Steam)
  • Friends are not transferred between origin & BF3 (but can be imported) (+ 0.5 Steam)
  • Good Graphics
  • Large Servers
  • Fun Game play
  • Few Glitches here and there even at high graphics
  • Snipers are harder to Use.
Overall Scores:

BF +3, Steam +1.5, Battlelog -9999999

Tbh, many people including me prefer battlelog over any ingame server browser. Battlelog is quick, although a bit glitchy at times, it's a website.... a couple minutes going through html code and all problems can be fixed. Battelog makes joining games FASTER, because now we don't have to open the exe... wait for the movies to skip, load the would have crappy ingame server browser that plagued all battlefield games before it, and then load the match. Battlelog skips ALL of that and goes straight to the loading of the game.

A plus is that battlelog is facebook for battlefield. I love all the social features in battlelog, it definitely makes the game more fun.

Now for the game itself, people honestly don't appreciate a single thing. The game has made a bunch of changes since the beta and so far it runs absolutely perfect for me and the majority of the game who bought it, check the battlelog forums. I believe people should look at their computer for problems and not the game itself.

Battlelog has its ups and downs. In my opinion, i prefer actually going into the game, and using a in-game browser. I love how Battlelog tracks your stats though.

i like the game alot, sure its a bit annoying with battlelog but its worth it for me. I love the campaign too!

After finally playing MP on this game, the entire game, in my opinion, boils down to whether or not you enjoy playing with vehicles. Vehicles play a large and often, pivotal, role in online matches, especially the larger maps. Not only are they the fastest method of traveling, the amount of damage they can dish out usually exceeds what a soldier can carry on them (Abrams cannon vs Rocket Launcher soldier in the open). And what I've experienced, it doesn't matter how good of a shot you are with a rifle, it's whether or not how good of a driver/gunner you are that matters. Smaller maps, infantry play a bigger role, because objectives are closer together and not as many vehicles are available. But playing BF3, it comes down to vehicles.

I got to sample it last night and I enjoyed it. Will probably buy it today. As long as you have friends to play it with it's worth it I think.

EDIT: It is tons of fun, when the servers are up. That's what I get for getting it on the 360 and not spending lots of money to upgrade my PC lol.
