Curious how i played for an hour with 73 Kills and 29 Deaths for a 2.52 KPD ratio and ended up -19 points on server ranking.........????

also, is there a modifier for killing someone in tank? (i.e. knife is a 3.0 and g3 is a 1.4) what is the tank?

I understand some of the metrics involved but is there a negative point modifier in the point system?
 
If someone has much less points than you, they'll take 25 points. You'll get two from them. The system simply tries to keep a balance by doing so. Don't focus too much on it, as it will 1) drive you nuts, and 2) have you grasping your side in pain after some matches. :P
 
Yeah as PBJ said the stats system will take points away from you every time you die. If someone who has never been on our server joins and kills you you will lose a ton of points. Other things that give you points are killing with weapons that are harder to kill with such as the knife, winning the round, take an objective, headshots, and kill streaks.
 
what is interesting about that game was that I had a 22 kill streak (personal best) and only 4 head-shots..........good kill streak but horrible head-shots

That is a good thought on the ranking of opposing players that kill you

That's odd, modifiers don't appear for vehicles other than Roadkill. But I can guess that it would be pretty moderate. Since killing people in a vehicle is easier than lets say killing people with a smoke launcher, which is why it has the highest modifier which is 3.40.
 
How to make #1 on GameME:

Jesus, are we playing FPS Maplestory? Didn't know grinding was possible in Battlefield.
 
That's how you get #1 on stats, don't blame me for the system being based around that type of playstyle... :P

You know how I play and I don't think it involves sitting in a corner sniping (usually, lol).
