New York Comic-Con 2011

Who's going?
What are you planning on doing there?

I'm going tomorrow (Saturday) and I have NO IDEA what I'm going to do.

If you want to find me, look for the 6'1" male teenager with short hair and glasses wearing an unzipped black hoodie with a Minecraft creeper shirt under it, most likely standing next to a shorter and wider guy with long hair, a beard, and at least two shirts (that would be Rayle in the clan).

Going sunday.

If you live in California, that places you much closer to the bigger and better San Diego Comic Con than I am

GOT BACK.
Here to post my findings.

Went to the Rooster Teeth booth. Got an "Ask me about my zombie plan" shirt. Saw Chris (my brother recognized him), Gus (how do you not recognize Gus), Michael (recognized only due to pony shirt), and some person who isn't actually a member of the staff but was working at the booth anyway. I did the research.

The Square Enix section! Mostly boring stuff. Stuff related to Deus Ex Human Revolution (already came out :/) and FFXIII-2. Best part of the Square Enix section: I GOT A FREE PURITY FIST!

Saw some Prototype 2 demo footage. Looks like Prototype 1 but even better.
Saw some screenies of TOR. No real gameplay, but some menus and loading screens.

Didn't get to go to any panels I wanted to see that new Avengers footage they were going to show. But it was too late, and the line was too long.

Costumes! Tip: If you want to be original, do NOT cosplay as Urahara Kisuke from Bleach. So many Uraharas.

Saw three pony cosplays, two of which were Rainbow Dash (similar costumes. Just some hair dye, fake wings, rainbow/blue themed clothes, fake ears), one was strange in that it was a person (with one of the Rainbows, so very similar costume) who was a unicorn with a blue mane and tail. The only pony that comes to mind is DJ P0N-3, but they didn't have the glasses.

Also saw almost the entire TF2 team. LOTS of scouts, a few spies, a sniper, a demoman, a (bad) medic, an engineer, and a soldier.

Other interesting cosplays to note were some Edward Elrics, a whole party of FFVII characters + Sephiroth, Liz and Patty from Soul Eater, some more Soul Eater people (a Stein, a Death the Kid, etc).
And LAVI! The best cosplay of the show. If only because he was cosplaying a D.Gray-Man character.

Best hat of the show: a hat that looked like the top of Rarity's head. It was white, had the eyes, the ears, had a horn, and had a little purple mane sticking out the back.

My only regret about this comic con was that I did not take more pictures.
