was just wondering if anyone knew the situation between the new counter strike game, and game modes and mods such as jail, zombies and many others

There was a post on Kotaku where you saw gameplay of CS:GO (3 minutes) and in the background, Gabe was interviewed. He stated that the game was fully mod friendly. :3

What's wrong with letting people enjoy the game the way they want to? I thought that's what PC gaming was all about: having it your way.
Anyways, you might want to watch this for more information on CS:GO overall: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDVLYJ_HQso"]Interview with Chet[/ame]
And this competitive match for more gameplay footage: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogcBfHjzsIU"]America vs. Europe[/ame]

When I get about an hour of free time, I'll be sure to watch those two videos.

A few of the selected beta testers have said that the engine looks to have all the potential that vanilla had, so I'm sure we will see mods after release

I hope they bring jail into CS:GO, they will have you're stuff if you are not into jail i'm sure.

I don't know why, but I have a feeling CS:GO isn't going to be nearly as good as C:SS.

I believe i read somewhere they stated mods will be easily ported from cs:s, as it will be running on a modified source engine (or a modified portal 2 engine, depending on how you would like to look at it).

Mods were ported from the old source, to the current source engine mod within days.

I'm betting all the popular mods (gungame, jail, surf) will be ported before the game is out of closed beta.

It would be nice if they would work with developers to include certain mods into the game from launch. But that will unlikely happen.

Those crosshairs are waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too big D:

"pros" as they are called, tend to use default crosshairs.

being as they just added in the crosshair slider options to cs:s... I imagine they will incorporate at least those options, if not more into cs:go

i think the idea behind that default xhair, is to show a better area for spread patterns, ideal for noobs, aka console users. but us real gamers, aka pc users, can handle small xhairs.
