Hey guys getting a computer built, ready by tomorrow probably. (Or the next day)
Here are the specs:

Windows 7 64bit
Intel core i7 turbo boost to 3.8ghz

8gb Ram
1Tb Hard drive
Antec 900w High gamer power supply

Leadtek GTX 580 3gb (DDR5)

- I only use 1600x900 res

I am confident although it was said that two 580's are needed, that that is just money making BS - Wondering what FPS I am looking at on High/Ultra

I'm fairly positive that could easily run on high, not sure bout ultra, but still pretty high. But it's hard to know since the game isn't out just yet

I'd say you'd be touching "High". Not Ultra settings though.

Intel Core i7
6GB Triple Channel
GTX 480 SC
1920x1080

I hope to play on Medium-High settings.

On 1600x900, you can probably run ultra. nVidia tested on 1920x1080, and I agree a lot of what they're saying is for marketing.

I also plan to play on High maybe some ultra...we will see

i5 2500k 3.3Ghz
2 x HD6780 Crossfire
8GB 1600 RAM
1920x1200

I think on multi-player you can run at ultra easily, as for single player I am unsure. I don't know for sure but in the beta I had it set to ultra on my 570 and stayed around 120 FPS. I know that they say that it was not true ultra as they claim to not have released all the textures and such yet. I would note that I hope that is true because the game does not look special at all, IMHO It looks no better graphically than CoD2 or BF BC2. I do find it funny that just because they "SAY" the game looks good, everyone acts as though it's got to be true. I just don't see it, There is nothing about BF3 that blows my mind and says it stands out above anything that already exists.

Probably high, DICE keeps saying ultra are for multiple GPU setups.

Mine:
i5-750 @ 2.66 (stock, going to OC before final release)
GTX 260 Core 216 (looking to get a GTX 570 when money works out)
4GB @ 1600
1920x1080 Samsung SyncMaster P2370HD

I plan on running ultra

my system:
quad core i7 960 @3.2
2x AMD HD6990 (crossfire)
12GB Ram
1920x1080 Dell ST321L Monitor

Yeah to run BF3 on ultra you need two of your graphics cards. You'll run it on high no problem.

When the beta was open the "ultra" settings really were high, though so if you look at it from when you were playing in beta on high, you'd run high. And pepper is right, you most likely won't run full ultra unless you crossed cards and dedicated on straight to particles.

Hmmm I don't think I will need 2 580's to run it..
When they said that 2 gtx 580's will be needed to run the game at it's best, They could have meant over 3 monitors at high resoloution, Or just at a very high resoloution .. If people are getting 120fps on high (Beta), I dont think that ultra is going to make it unplayable. At all.

But we will wait and see .. ;]

you will be able to play on ultra ...especially at that resolution...you will prolly get around 45-60 fps... thats just my opinion with playing the beta....the whole 2 gtx 580 bs to play on ultra is ridiculous.... if its true then they did a horrible job on optimization for the pc...and this would be the first game ever that a company states that you would need $1000 worth of graphics cards to play a $60 game on the highest setting.....

its simply marketing... no more...no less
