How to Fill Servers 101

[BCA]

Borders Hand Book to Filling Servers.


STEP 1: Realizing the Server is empty

STEP 2: Jump on Ventrilo and ask people to join in.

STEP 3: Add people to your steam friends. The more friends the more people to join.

STEP 4: Contact a Member of Leadership (Advisor ? Division Leader) to place an announcement

STEP 5: Server will be full in no time. So just Sit back and relax.

Extra Step: People in DODS love Cats. So use Cats.

Also, another step that can be taken is to post a call to action in the ShoutBox on the right side of the website.

And maybe some of the other servers would have some love if everyone wasn't paying so much gosh darn attention to ava all the time!

One other thing that'd probably be good...

Don't cap out the flags too quickly, depending on what server you're on. Sometimes players leave quickly when that occurs.

Wait until it gets going kinda well with 4v4. At least this way the server grows instead of dying too quickly.

Also think about asking if people want to have a muck around with melee/nades/rambo only etc.. have had a lot of fun on short servers doing this. Can also restrict map - field side only in donner etc. Bearing in mind of course that this cannot be enforced, only by agreement. Have had a few nights where it is almost a disappointment to have enough people to go back to full weapons and play
