Crash Mesa?

I play primarily on Black Mesa, as I was joking with someone the other night while on Black Mesa, once you start playing on Black Mesa, you never leave! Personally, I don't think Black Mesa crashes for me any more than any other maps; it'll crash maybe a couple times a week.

Usually what happens for me is it'll get choppy for a second, fix itself, and then it'll freeze right up and I'll see the text in the corner of the screen: "losing connection in 24-23-22" etc. Then I'll be disconnected, rejoin, and everything will be hunkydory. Even still, it's not half as annoying as when Valve does a major update, since I literally can't play for a day or so since it won't find my inventory and stuff like that. Either way, it's an awesome map, so I'm willing to put up with the odd disconnect now & then!

When that happens try going into your console with ~ and typing "retry" (no quotes). It's quite a bit faster.
