Steam freezes on startup

hi guys,

need advice here. My steam won't login and freezes on startup. never encounter this problem before. At first, i thought it was because of my slow internet connection and steam failed to log me in but i am able to browse any website with normal speed including steampowered website, i can do anything except login to steam (application). anyone has the same problem or any idea to solve this?

If your still having this problem, a possible fix: Give it some time (meaning more than you use to) to load.

I've had this problem before as well, and had to give it some time to load, whilst browsing the web/doing other things on the compy.

apparently it fixed on its own.
the problem stopped two or three days ago.
