RAID and SSD Qeustion?

First of all, on either a RAID 0 or RAID 1 configuration, do you think it would be a problem to partition those drives or should they be left alone. Didn't know if the performance would be degraded it you partitioned a RAID configuration.

Secondly, same question for an SSD whether its a stand alone drive or on a RAID configuration.

1. you can partition a RAID array, the OS sees the array as one physical drive, so it can partition it as such.

2. i highly doubt you will see a performance loss. You might see a nartual performance loss if one partition is close to the center of the disk, but this is true of any sort of physical HDD
