Rockstar announces Grand Theft Auto 5

Rockstar has officially announced Grand Theft Auto 5 via a teaser image posted on Rockstar.com.

The image merely teases the game's logo and lists a date for the game's first trailer - 2nd November.

No release date or platforms are mentioned.

The V in the logo is stylised to look like a a bank note. What could that mean?

Previous rumours pegged the game as being set in Hollywood, with information from a purported casting call earlier this year suggesting the game has been in development for a while.

A return to Los Santos is my guess, mostly based on rumors throughout the last year or so.

but the 5 is stylized like an american dollar, to my knowledge the United States is the only place with money like that many countries money looks like euro's now, colorful and such american money is all green, so yeah that's american style euros are various colors, and i believe Switzerland is also colorful as well since they use there own currency (not being in the EU they can't use the euro)

although even modern american currency has started adding more colors to he money to combat counterfitting like our fives have purple in them now and our tens have like a yellowish orange tint to them

Yeah, D.C. in the 1990s was one of the most crime ridden cities in the U.S....and I'm not just talking about politics. It would be a primo setting for a GTA game. Also, the dollar design of the V, just screams federal.

We've known they've been working on it for a while now. That and by the time this comes out it'll have been 4 years since the last one.

GTA4 got boring for me, FAST. I never completed the storyline, and I had maybe 25 hours of game-play.. It wasn't disappointing, just really, really boring IMO
