How many of you have 2 lives?

I know quite a few people would hope that I'm no where near as crude and embarassing to hang out with in real life as I am in Vent.... For the most part, you'd be totally wrong.

When I'm out and about with the family, or just taking the kids places, I'm typically just the quiet mom in the background - unless some one messes with my kids. Then it's all Momma Bear and growling/mauling people. But in large crowds, or new places, I'm pretty quiet at first, until I get my bearings. I guess you could say I'm "selectively shy", because once I'm comfortable where ever I am, or with whomever I'm with - then I open up.

And when I'm working? ... :P I'm usually an abrasive, sadistic control freak, and I swear a LOT.

Would love to meet you some day.....we have so much fun in vent!

I am the same in real life as I am on eGO. I observe the crowd I'm in for a little bit, and then when I've listened long enough, I dive in and I think I'm pretty okay at making friends on either plane.

Aka, I talk to much in both worlds. Haha. I'm also quick to open up about myself and reach out to others. It's just how I am.

We totally should! It's like a 30 minute drive to meet up half way. I vote for a decent bar that knows how to make a good amaretto sour. Hedd's vote shouldn't count, because you know what kind of bar he's going to petition for... LMAO

But anyway...
I think I do kind of have a double life in regards to the internet, but the two do sometimes leak into each other. I am involved in both sports (ex. swimming and tennis) and take part in some of the really nerdy stuff at my high school so I pretty much have two groups of friends, the more sporty CoD noobs, and the nerdy BF3/Skyrim mlg pros. I will often try to talk to my athletic friends about the fine points of video games and what makes them tick or comment about the terrible textures and animations in Black Ops. Most of the time they will get what i'm trying to say, but sometimes they just don't get it. For example, during my lunch break I was sitting with my group which consisted of a nerd to athlete ratio of 3:1. I starting talking to my friend to the left about my future computer I will build once I have the money. So once we were done discussing the relevance of buying a surplus computer from a semi-local aircraft manufacturer versus a totally new one my athletic friend (who had tried to join eGO for minecraft but really failed and gave up :P) says that he had no idea what we were talking about and asked if we could explain it to him.

I actually discovered someone else at my school who had been leading a semi-double life. HE is a super athletic football player and he is someone you would think would spend all his free time in the gym. In actuality, he has played and PERFECTED every Final Fantasy game except for number 3, but that was only because it was only released in japan. I'm not a FF fan, but this impressed me considering i've known him for years and he was just then telling me.
