I am an isolator. I tend to be by myself on more than most occasions. Im not a people person.. my PTSD adds an extra layer of antisocial behavior. I play PC games because it is my outlet from reality. I dont get out of the house often. I was always drunk to be able to function in any type of social situation,.. work, the grocery store, the mall.. etc. Now Im sober going on 6 months and my anxietys are worse then when I was drinking.

I had a Social Security hearing today. I believe it went well. The judge seemed to be tilting in my favor after he found out I was a vet.

Must admit i do tone things down a little bit in here.. in real life - especially when i am working behind a bar - I tend to be blunt to the point of rudeness..

I know quite a few people would hope that I'm no where near as crude and embarassing to hang out with in real life as I am in Vent.... For the most part, you'd be totally wrong.

When I'm out and about with the family, or just taking the kids places, I'm typically just the quiet mom in the background - unless some one messes with my kids. Then it's all Momma Bear and growling/mauling people. But in large crowds, or new places, I'm pretty quiet at first, until I get my bearings. I guess you could say I'm "selectively shy", because once I'm comfortable where ever I am, or with whomever I'm with - then I open up.

And when I'm working? ... I'm usually an abrasive, sadistic control freak, and I swear a LOT.

I have an internet/performer persona and my real life. They blur together sometimes, but I prefer to keep them separate.
I value my privacy over all things. I thought twice about using my real name to join eGO but used it anyway. Like I said, blurring.
