So I found on Reddit that a user in the BF3 community has made a small script that enables auto joining servers until DICE releases their own fixed version later. I have had no problems using this all this morning, the only thing is that it's a bit iffy when joining friends. Read on and enjoy.

nah, ill wait, dont want to mess with Battlelog, you only have to wait for 1-2 mins max for getting into a server.
 
I find it amazing that someone writes a quick script for the game, yet EA cant have this option at launch wth?

And if buddy's quick script fails, then you're like, meh I just got it for free. However if EA's fails, you're pissed at EA. I can understand them wanting to be sure they got it right the first time off.

That being said, I don't see how it would have been that hard for EA to do right out of the gate.
 
Thanks for the share, hope it doesn't spam autojoin but actually waits for a free slot. Battlelog has some sort of autojoin spam cooldown.
 
Am I crazy to wonder about the security aspects of adding an unsanctioned script to Battlelog?

May sound kind of paranoid but... you're only paranoid if you're wrong :)

+1, to a certain degree.

I do also think people tend to get mad at EA when they attempt to fix a problem, and yet it hasn't been solved after "patching"--individuals believing they were lied to.

As far as it being done by one man and not the BF3 team: hopefully DICE is fixing greater issues than something that is of minor annoyance...that is my one concern.

Also, thanks MkMillan for sharing this! I will try it out.
 
Looking at the installation guide, it doesn't seem too hard. But as of me right now I don't feel like doing all the work.
I just live with it as of right now LOL thanks for sharing though!
 
No wonder...EA wants control over their own site...not people hacking it...

hack1 (h?k): to manipulate a computer program skillfully

It manipulates battlelog to do something EA doesn't want you to do. Hence, it is a script that hacks or manipulates/exploits the system skillfully.

Hacks are scripts.
All scripts are not hacks.

And no point in providing a definition of what scripting and hacking are as there are various definitions and interpretations.

By your definition, all good gamers are hackers because they're playing their game well (ie manipulating the computer program (game) skillfully (legitimate high scores)
 
Wish Dice would have just made this standard, but I actually heard they updated their servers so Auto Login no longer works :(
 
odd it was working for me fine at 10pm last night O.o

Kinda blows I liked using that.


EDIT: Just got into a server using it... it still works
