Nvida Owners, How to Play Stutter Free with HT on

I had tried everything for my computer and nothing was working even turning off Hyper Threading. I found some info online that stated the main issue with the GTX 5xx cards was that they were running at too low voltages for the new drivers. The OP suggested that everyone go to their card manufacture website and find the newest BIOS. I went to EVGA and they had a new BIOS created in October and I flashed it and now I can play smooth as butter with my Hyper Threading on.

Were they not running at stock voltage rates with the new drivers? If they were, then that just means that the fix is really just overclocking--which can be dangerous to those who have no idea how to effectively observe their temp settings under a full load and x amount of time under that full load; also depends on how much air flow, or water temps, is being pushed into the case.

Also, hyper threading shouldn't have any massive enhance on FPS/stability within a game--it is usually used for multitasking with various programs and allows faster processing/encoding--like image modifiers (i.e., photoshop.)

I will look into this more when I get home today and modify my post when required.

I installed on my desktop, just make sure you are using the right BIOS for your card. I was almost ready to give up on BF3 for awhile because of the horrible graphics issues and these solved the issue instantly.

I see you're using a super-clocked card. Perhaps the new BIOS isn't really over-clocking but rather just catching up with what your clock speeds should be at for a super-clocked card?

I'd be kind of surprised if EVGA suddenly took it upon themselves to overclock people's cards considering the liability they'd be taking on should something fry.

They came from the factory (EVGA) superclocked and has a 10 year warranty so they must feel confident about the ability to run at those settings. They have updated BIOS for the non factory overclocked cards too. This site is also saying to return to the BETA drivers for Nvidia owners:

man, i have an ATI card and only thing that fixes stutter on my I7 930 is HT off still :/

Turning off the hyper threading did help a bit but now after the bios update it is running smooth with it on.

Anyway, I have a standard EVGA GTX 570 and I'll be trying this out. Thanks for the link, I hope it fixes the stuttering issues!

evga has released updates to their own cards however this can help others. The main thing is at stock the cards volt is at 1.0mV this changes it to 1.025mV which gives it better stability.

Most newer DX11 titles have been having stability/crashes due to that and since changing the voltage they have been stable. You can always change the voltage your self if you don't want to flash the bios.
