Hey, I was recently banned from the EGO ventrilo server for spam.
I really enjoy chatting, and I was unaware that I was abusing my priviledges.
I was talking with some people about what I thought to be a completely appropriate subject, and a character named "sk1p" told me to shut up, because "every time you talk, I want to gouge my eyes out"
I ignored him. As he never really told me who he was, thinking he was just some rude kid. But then after a minute or two I get banned. I was never prompted by anyone, and if it was sk1p he never told me he was an admin enforcing anything.. I was having a back and forth conversation between several other people in the channel..
I'm not going to stop being myself every time some random person having a bad day says "shut up". They can just mute me.
So you can see from my point of view it makes no sense to just outright ban me this way without prompting me or identifying themselves as admins. I would have gladly stopped talking inorder to retain my spot there with my friends. I respect the authority of moderators because I enjoy this clan. It is a great service to the commmunity.
