a Pub Events Night, recruiting on the Events server

What Ive seen so far is basic gab and grab recruiting. It works... but its not perfect. We all get to know pubs in our daily play.. Some we like,.. some we dont.. all pubs are equal.

When looking for an eGO addition I look for 3 things.. 1.pride in sportsmanship...2.always trying to succeed...3.never letting the game fluster them to the level of swears on mic or typed. <--- this is eGO in a nutshell.

Id like to initiate a night or 2 for invited pubs to play on our events server.

Perhaps even have a thread in open DOD:S on the forums just for the pubs to pick the map.

I think with more pub involvement, we will see higher numbers in DOD:S recruitment.

Let "our friends" , our pubs, pick the map and play with us on something different. Perhaps something different is all we need. Run a map list like we do for Wild Card. Highest PUB vote wins. Then we play that map and maybe the 1st runner-up and have fun with our closest pubs. Show them that we, "eGO" , are all about clean, holsem(sp) fun. And the word will spread like butter.

Nice idea, we did just have our event contest so i'm not sure if leadership'd be looking to implement something new but recruiting is never a bad idea.

it would be nice to give back to our regular pubbers like dsmore, rambob <eva>triclops and many many more. ps it's wholesome

I don't know if we could really get pubs on our website to vote. I mean, by the time they are on our website, we will probably have recruited them. I think a good idea would be filling the event server maybe half full of ego members, for a event (pick whatever you like) and then go invite everyone in our servers to come join us. After they play with us for a hour, and see how awesome we are, we can try to recruit them.

interesting idea. Probably needs some refinement but it's a good sound idea. i like it.

I also want to remind everyone that all DoD:S events are always open to the public. Events like realism are not "member only". We allow pubbers to come play with us with the caveat that they follow our rules on language and attitude when in our servers.
