OT though: That was a fantastic find - thank you. Having really just played BC2 that was fun. I remember watching my friend play BF Vietnam, driving along a river on a boat with CCR blaring from the speakers and thinking "Goddamn".

Oh how far we've come. Still no CCR though, would make my Jet flying that much more fun.

Hard to believe how far online gaming has come in general.

I do kind of miss the old single player dedicated flight sims that came before BF. Fun times flying a spitfire in Battle over Britain listening to zeppelin. Wouldn't have believed "silly" computer games would become such an accepted multi-billion dollar industry.

Sidenote, thanks Beemer, I feel old now.
I'll have to ask my Dad to tell me of his start in programming using punchcards again... that'll do the trick :biggrin:

Played them all, and to this day I still have 1942 installed on my computer because I still play the best game/mod ever created = Desert Combat. Nothing compares to the flight physics of that game. Dog fighting in that game is epic.

Wow, incredible watch. I totally remember playing BF:1942, and still remember how excited I was when the modders released Desert Combat. Cool to bring back those memories.
