It depresses me that I feel the need to come out and say this, but recently I've been very disappointed with the general attitude during Events. I have been told that players aren't respecting the Event Coordinators or listening to them like it is expected of them. The TF2 ECs work really hard on making fun events for you guys, the least you can do is show respect while they are speaking and follow their instructions. The rules and instructions are there to make the events as much fun for everyone as possible, those who don't follow them are just killing the event for the others.

I was actively involved in the EC program for almost 2 years before I was promoted to DL. I consider an insult to an Event Coordinator (in his/her official capacity as EC) to be an insult to me personally and have very little patience for dealing with those situations.

Alright, I'm done with being all menacing and threatening now, in all seriousness go out to events and have fun! They are a blast and our ECs do a great job of making fun events that not enough people seem to attend. I'm going to be attending more events than I have been now that my schedule is beginning to open up, and I'm going to offer 50,000 Casino Cash to anyone who can dominate me during any event this month. I don't care if its a roadtrip to a different game, a minigame, or whatever. If the message *your name* is dominating =(eGO)=? Kevimaster [FAIL]! Appears, then take a screenshot of it and post it here for your Casino Cash!

Feel free to PM me with any Questions, Comments, or Concerns!

Cheers, hope to see you at some events

yeah ive been at a few events lately where theyre ended because people arent listening to the ECs it makes me sad

Yeah, the attitude is shocking sometimes.

But here's to dominating Kevi!

The only bad part about this post is, no body will take what you just posted seriously, people will only care about the domination. BUT, this means that you've read it. If we ever catch you breaking rules and not listening to EC's, we will deal with it accordingly. I've felt that EC's can be pushed around by other members lower then themselves, and we will no longer tolerate it. You disobey? You're out of the event. Period.

This worries me about interference during certain types of events. Especially if there's a problem already. I have seen this happen too and I feel for the ECs in these situations and I think they have been extremely lenient with their warnings and I understand why they are lenient... Events are to have fun and kicking people is not fun... Really hope this thread gets through to those few. Remember the sooner the EC can coordinate the mini game or whatever the event is the sooner the fun begins for all, If your bored/impatient between games just join a regular server.

I also hope to be at more events once my I get more settled in with my new job.

I have only made it to a few events in the few years I've been here. We have to remember that even if there are no pubs around that doesn't mean you can act like a child.

Remember: character is what you are when no one (in this case, pubs) is watching. Don't be characterized as a jerk.

Now, onward to dominating Kevimaster, long-time friend and ally.

Cheers kevi, the lack of respect for co-ordinators was something that apparently rose in a short time and I hope that it will disappear as fast as it appeared.

Please remember that making events is a job that co-o's don't get paid for, and by making it even harder to go through is successfully destroying one of the best things we have in eGO, people willing to help out for others to have a great time.

This is a position without salary that they volunteered for and without their skills, we wouldn't have events

This is a really.... interesting.... way of putting it.

Folks should respect the work and time that the ECs put into the events, and obey them while we're at those events. But I don't think that makes the rest of us "lower" than you.

What I meant by that was, the rank. I would never insult a member. EVER. And neither should anyone else. I meant that as in rank. e's pushing around an O? That should NEVER happen and vice versa.

I believe what is meant there is ECs run the server during the event (that is why they admin when needed and non EC admins should not admin unless told otherwise of course) and they are to be listened to and taken seriously during this event, this results in a smooth running event and will make the event fun for all in the short time that is given.

oops did not see Cyclone responded to that already..
