Pre-ordered my deluxe edition today. :biggrin: The Zelda franchise pretty much always has and most likely will forever be my favorite series.

Anyone else getting stoked for it? Surely we have some other fans around these parts. :p
 
It's shaping up to look like a great one that's for sure. I won't be getting it at release but when I have an opportunity I will.
 
I'm not too sure about it yet. I'll probably get it if it's not too similar to T.P. I hated having to turn into a dog in that game, & the graphics were horrible too during those parts.
 
Hate to say it, but I pre-ordered the deluxe as well. This game looks like it will be great. My personal favorite is Wind Waker with OoT closely behind.
 
OFC I pre-ordered Zelda !! Will be one of the best games this year, I can feel it!

But it's hard opponent, which is my other pre-ordered game is Assassin's creed: Revelation ! BOOM!!

Fantastic end of 2011 !!

I would say it's only similar to Twilight Princess in the system that it's on. I can understand how ever Zelda on Wii will be judged by TP, since that was what came out first. Looks like Skyward Sword will be THE Zelda to own on Wii, however (not that I don't also love TP...the darker tone of that game was a really nice change of pace). Swordplay that is incredibly responsive, rather than just the waggle-fest of TP. Two large overworlds to explore. New platform type mechanics with the introduction of the jump button...I'm so excited. :p

It's really not that bad a deal, considering you're getting an exclusive Wii-mote for around $5-$10 less than if you bought it by itself without the game. And I'm super excited for the orchestral CD. I'm a Performing Arts major at my school, so I've been trying to hammer home to my other friends about the importance of classical music. Hopefully this will give more people a reason to give it a chance.

Also, here is a link to an article about that IGN wrote about Skyward Sword. I'll have to judge the title once I actually play the game. :biggrin:

I'll try to get the deluxe edition, because I need the wiimote plus, and the orchesta CD is a plus...well worth the $70 dollars
 
some ppls are wainting for better graphics but its Wii xD the game looks great to me and the history is amazing!

People can talk about the graphical power of the Wii all they want, but Nintendo brings out the most of the system, better than any 3rd party has. Ever played Super Mario Galaxy 2? Looks FANTASTIC compared to most Wii games, and is on par with a lot of other 360/PS3 games. I think the decision to make this game cel-shaded will certainly help cover up any burps in graphics. I like the art style in that they decided not to make it SO cel-shaded (can't think of a better way to describe it), so that it still retains some of the feel of non-Wind Waker graphics.
 
Definitely getting.

My biggest concern is that sometimes when I'm playing a game I don't want to make precise movements. Sometimes I'd rather just chill and click a button. The mechanics look cool, just maybe too much work when I'm in certain moods.

Oh, and actually finding my Wii. Haven't touched it since I beat TP and Paper Mario.
 
bought the edition with the gold controller for my GF. she is gonna be so stoked total zelda nerd : P

Love the LoZ series. Definitely getting this. Many thanks to my younger brother, who pre-ordered limited edition because it's really the only game he's looking forward to this year apart from Skyrim.
 
I preordered it the day the preorder came out, i can't wait any longer :D
I think this will be one of the greatest Zelda Games ever
