Well they sent it late but I'm in beta ;) lol if they screwed up with the e-mail distribution again I'm going to be SO upset lol

EDIT: Well.... it's not this weekend but if you got a beta invite e-mail it will be for later this month not today..... I hate them sometimes lol

I'm in for this weekend. Downloading the client now. (Should have checked my email sooner..)

What server is everyone joining? I got a notice that at least 3 of them were highly populated and should not be joined. Any suggestions?
 
OMG....computer has been down and I finally got my invite....too bad i'm busy!!!! :( what server do I need to go if I get time to play tomorrow though?
 
I've been playing on the Darth Malak server Empire side... where did my Saturday go? I turned and looked at the window and it was dark.
 
My download has been messing up. Woke up this morning to see it froze over night and had to start it back up with almost 3g left to go. I'm hoping that after I get done with this part there's nothing left to download and maybe I can play some before 5pm rolls around. If not, I'm gonna go by Branaddar's reaction and preorder. Was really hoping to try for myself first! /cry
 
Yeah may patcher froze up 4-5 times during install and it seems good now.

One suggestion I have is wipe out all the files from Beta when the game goes live. DCUO had ongoing issues due to beta installs not updating properly.

I plan on writing up a Preview of it an posting it the day the game drops, so I don't break any NDA. Suffice it to say I highly approve of this game, and I'm generally jaded with MMOs these days.
 
I got an email saying i had been selected to test the beta on friday, it is now sunday, still waiting for a follow up email...
 
Man, that was an amazing playtest. This game is a solid gold winner. It's still beta, and there'll be some more engine and server optimization before launch. But they definitely have a winning formula here.
 
Hey guys, I hope you all enjoyed the beta weekend.

I've been beta testing for the last month and a half and starting to get picky about a few things. What about you guys? How are you feeling about some of the recent arguments some of the new testers are starting?

That was one of my first and major concerns about the pre-order. Before I found the information I was seeking, I actually thought about cancelling my digital download pre-order in favor or going to Game Stop or somewhere else so I could actually get a disc and install the disc faster than I could install the game and updates. I was glad to see that they will allow an early download for pre-orders before the early access even starts. My experience with this past beta weekend is that I spent all weekend fighting the patcher and not getting to play a single second of the game..... I still have crap to download!

On a different note. I hope all of you weekenders and testers had a blast. I hope I can join you next time around!!
