Avoiding Skyrim?

Hi all,

So, I am avoiding all news and information about Skyrim (to the point of avoiding a bunch of gaming websites), not because I don't want to play it (had it on order as soon as Steam had it), but because I really want everything to be a surprise, especially the story-line and the factions. I know there will be some overlap with the other games in the series, but I want to play through the game the way the developer wanted me to play :) Now, a popular gaming site, is doing a live-cast tomorrow, and I am really really REALLY tempted.

Curious if anyone else is trying to do a Skyrim blackout? Or am I the weird, psychotic one? :)

Cheers

Jat

This is a non gaming forum section btw

don't go to skyrim threads if you don't want spoilers?

I'm not looking at any info, either. This will be just like Oblivion and Morrowind to me, going in completely blind, minus some information on general gameplay mechanics.

No, he's always been dead, and the kid he is counselling says "I see dead dragons..."

I am avoiding it totally (not buying it), honestly I don't have any interest in 50 or 70 hour long RPG games. I beat Witcher 2 earlier this year, I spent about 15 hours on it and felt totally guilty, my time could have been spent on something more productive.

I am taking a few math & science classes now and plan on working full time. Short 8 to 10 hour games FTW

I don't show any interest in the game. I don't know why, I just don't like the way it looks..

You don't have to play the whole thing through in one sitting

I went snooping around the Steam folder. It still uses BSA and ESM files, so mods are certain :)

YAY
But wait
I'm getting it for 360

I do the same thing, especially with Skyrim i don't want to know a thing, for the full Skyrim gaming experience!

You are not crazy, I did a Skyrim blackout of sorts too.

I still read some stories about it but I cut myself off from all video footage. I am so excited to play this game it's not even funny. Ok, it's a bit funny, but you get my point. 12:01 can't come fast enough!
