origin patch broke my mouse

so, ever since the origin patch last night, my mouse hasn't been working correctly, and I have tried everything to include lurking the web, and uninstalling and reinstalling my drivers. I am officially stumped and annoyed by this now, my mouse works fine in everything else on my computer and works fine in the BF3 in-game menu (see attached video). Ingame it is unplayable, the mouse will constantly force itself to look toward the upper left, and trying to move it anywhere else will cause alot of resistance and a sudden jerk in the screen when it moves to where i was trying to look, I was wondering if this happened to anyone else and if any tech guys have any tips or know something I don't, my last option to to uninstall and reinstall BF3, but it's a huge download so I'd like to try and avoid that if possible

link is the fraps of what is happening to me in game. Thought it might help.

Windows 7 64bit

Microsoft

like I said, the mouse worked fine before the patch, no problems at all. These problems started happening right after the origin update, the louse works fine in all in game menus, but during gameplay it does what you see it doing in the video, drifting to the upper left uncontrollably.

Still searching around online, still not finding anything, even uninstalled and redownloaded BF3 and it's still not working.

That happens to me when i got dust, lint or something in my sensor since I dont use a mousepad. Just an idea though,i'm not 100% sure since i have a razer mouse.

Try a system restore. And reinstall the patch to. See if problem is still there

Unplug anything you have connected to the PC's USB or serial ports, other then the mouse while you are in game. See if it stops. If it doesn't, unplug the mouse, and see if you have a constant spinning.

I had the same issue. Turned out to be my steering wheel was creating a constant left motion.

I am going to officially declare myself a complete idiot, for the last few hours, my cat has been trolling me and I didn't realize it until just a few moments ago, my precious little ball of fluff (my cat) has been comfortably sleeping on my computer desk, on top of the xbox controller that is plugged into my computer that I use to play games like Prototype. He has been the reason for the last few hours of stress. Thanks for everyone for the responses, but the way to fix this problem was to remove my controller out from under my cat. lol, I am laughing at my own lack of awareness of what was the real reason.

haha, i was just going to ask if you were using a joystick or other controller. Mine did that in the beta if i had my joystick connected. It's weird that you can double bind keys in bf3. Try unbinding any irrelevant keys in the joystick config if you want to use both together. Most ppl don't use their controller while on foot, so i unbound all those keys.

That is so weird cause I was just about to ask if there was a cat sitting on your controller! LOL :)

Been there

I'm having problems too, after the patch, I've been getting insane rubberbanding and lag. So many glitches, one is in the tank, when I'm using the gunner it likes to spin around of its own accord.

So for example, if I'm facing this way → it will just suddently face this way ← or even this way ↑

Bwahahaha, that gave me a damn good laugh. Damn cool cat. Mine does nothing but jump on my desk and troll my keyboard, showing me stuff I've never seen on Windows before.

Also, you can turn on/off raw mouse input under options. That fixed my mouse problem (unresponsive mouse, delay, low sensitivity, mouse acceleration, lagging behind etc.)

It's been like that since the release of BF3 for alot of people. There are alot of forum posts on it.

Try lowering your mouse POLLING RATE. I get this issue at 1000Hz and 500HZ but it seems fine at 125Hz.

That's how i fixed my issue.

Hey Bro, That's great!, problem solved. It's one of those" DEER " in the Headlights moments  we all have them before :)
