This is a cool, true story. I think you guys will enjoy this!
So Skyrim launched tonight and I had pre-ordered it at a local Gamestop. Very excited about this. I knew that I lived in the same town as another member of the clan, Byakuya, but I never got a chance to meet him.
I saw that he too pre-ordered Skyrim from Gamestop and coordinated with him, discovering that we were going to be at the same one to pick it up. We agreed to try and meet up and snap a quick picture as something fun to share with the clan.
I roll into Gamespot last night at about 11:40 and it is packed. There is a line outside the store and I don't think I've ever seen a line this big. I would estimate there were over 100 people there easily if not even more. Byakuya and I had mentioned some key clothing to help us distinguish each other but there is no way I'm going to find him in this huge crowd.
I verify my receipt inside the store and head to the back of the line. My room-mate is with me. We see another friend of ours so I say hi and he and I start talking about our excitement for Skyrim.
I mention that I was supposed to meet up with an eGO group member, but I am pretty sure I am not going to find him in this crowd. As I'm saying that, I notice the guy behind me looks right at me, almost taken aback. I think he had been thinking the same thing. Seconds later, he says "...Spitfire'd?" We ended up right next to each other in line. What are the odds of that? I don't know what they are but it was very cool. So we got to meet and chat a moment before going our separate ways to slay dragons.
And as promised...we made sure to get a picture together. It was awesome to actually meet another person from our clan and I hope you all get the experience at some point!
