For months I have been waiting for L.A Noire to come to PC. Late last week it was released on steam and made available with all past DLC.
Since its release I have been fixed on my screen, playing this investigative thriller set in 1940s L.A. Throughout the game you play the part of a police officer named Cole Phelps. Starting off the game in uniform you get a big break while on the beat and solve a major case. Your skills are noticed and soon a promotion follows, allowing you to start work in L.As traffic division. Later in the game you continue to receive promotions and reassignments to other divisions which include Homicide, Vice, and Arson.
Each mission starts of pretty much the same. You find yourself in the briefing room with your respective partner. Next you’ll find yourself at the crime scene where you must search for clues, interview witnesses, and find new leads in the case. Interviewing witnesses is key in this game. You decide whether they’re lying or telling the truth. Say the wrong thing and your witness will become frustrated, and leave out new leads or evidence. Watching a witness closely while interviewing them will give you clues. If they look up or side to side they may be hiding something from you. To get them to talk you have to make an accusation and back it up with evidence collected from other witnesses or crime scenes.
If you’re interested in crime thrillers L.A NOIRE will not disappoint. The game has all the necessary functions you would expect. Chases, interrogation, evidence collection, the list and possibilities are endless. I recommend this game to all players, and hope you enjoy its story and great graphics.
