Can I play Skyrim?

Hey, I was thinking of getting Skyrim recently but wanted to check to see if my computer could play it (It does not have to be ultra settings. Just full screen with medium textures ATLEAST).

Since I am terrible at remembering computer vs game requirement mumbo jumbo, I turn to the great and knowledgeable eGO members to help me out. Here is my specs:

I don't know the exact requirements of Skyrim, but that looks like a pretty decent PC that could probably handle it.

How probably? Oblivion has a bit of a graphical slowdown (But then again I did not tweak the settings all that well)

I have, it said I can run minimum just fine and I passed like two/three parts of recommended but still failed it.

You can play it well enough. With my 8800gt, i can play with high detail, but low draw distance.
When I disconnected it so I could take pics to upload for when I was going to sell it, I used my onboard 3200. Low detail and low draw distance, but still in very playable frames.

You can play it, Just not in its fully glory.

You will not be able to run it, even on the lowest settings. That is why you fail the online system requirement checker. You have a laptop and most laptop video cards are not good for gaming, especially ones like Skyrim. For example, DigitalDead can run it on his 8800GT and while that card is fairly old, it's still pretty beefy. Check this link:

That is a comparison of the 8800GT vs the HD4350 desktop card. That HD4350 is easily twice as fast as the laptop version of your 4250. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you will not be able to run Skyrim on your laptop.

I'm running a system capable of pooping on Battlefield 3, and I can't sustain 60 frames per second in Skyrim on any detail setting other than Low. Poorly optimized across the board.

Now im not useing an AMD GPU but i am useing an nvidia 9500 gt. And i do get lag in the game but it isnt bad. Or at least not bad enough for me to quit playing the game.
