So i've noticed everyone is talking everywhere about their characters, but I can't keep them straight, and i'd like to refer to some of these conversations for reference on my own.

That said, talk about your character, what skills, and how you play them. Also feel free to bring up ideas for other builds, suggest things to do and not to do, and even brag a little!

I'll be posting my character descriptions later as I'm at work now, but I had to get this started as it was on my mind, and I wanted to read some responses later!

My main is a High Elf Necromancer with high conjuration, and medium destruction skills. More to come later!

I have a sneaky Redguard, with a love of warhammers and other 2 handed implements of destruction

Straight warrior Orc, mainly focused on 1handed. Currently dual-wielding a pair of Ebony War Axes (hopefully upgrading to Daedric soon!). Main skills are typical Orc fare (1handed, smithing, enchanting, heavy armor) but I've also put a fair bit into Alteration for the defensive spells (oakflesh/stoneflesh/ironflesh) and the magic resistance perk.

I'm a multipurpose feline. I'm a sneaky little fur ball and love to shoot arrows and run and hide :). I wanted to name myself Puss & Boots just for the lol's, but too late now. Right now I'm mastering sneak and archery with a little of magicka, one-handed, and two-handed. I think I've gone to far into the game where as I'd easily get rammed by a undead mage and his minions.

Redguard Savage (who just happens to be a werewolf listener nightingale stormblade... and an archmage in one). One handed (dual wielding) fury in light armor, with moderate sneak and archery. Wielding one Legendary Daedric Sword and one Blade of Woe; occasionally using a light dragon shield instead of the dagger when faced with specific bosses and hoards of tough enemies that dual wielding just can't cut through. No magic at all- unless you count frostbite and flames which I needed to complete two quests.

Dark Elf with extreamly high sneak and bow, with dual weilding skyforge steel blades upgraded quite a few times for close combate, a little bit of destruction magic thrown in for variety, my lockpicking is also very high, right now i use a combination of theif guild and nightengale armors

An archer(therefore wood elf). Who breaks, enters, steals, pickpockets, murders(eventually), etc.

Imperial jack of all trades. Start with sneaking and archery, and then I move into close combat with magic, dual swords, sword and axe, 2H axe ,sword and shield, etc. And being an Imperial, I leverage my ability to find more gold by selling almost everything I can, or hoarding it in my house. I've managed to not lose Lydia or any mercenary I hire, namely because I need them to haul all the extra gear I keep "acquiring."

Snipeye and I have the same idea (sorta).

I'm an Imperial dungeon-raider, with emphasis on one-handed swords and healing magika. Light armor means light on your feet!

*** Also, a guard gets nervous when a man approaches with his weapon drawn. ***

^_^

I'm using a heavily armored Argonian destruction mage. Striding around in heavy armor shrugging off attacks blasting out gigantic fireballs and streams of lightning. Then when my magicka finally depletes I use my Daedric gauntlets to punch people to death.

A badass female warrior/werewolf with one-handed skills, blocking, some archery and two-handed, attempting to master destruction, heavy armor, and lockpicking

Nord. Dual-wield deadric swords (Smithed to legendary - 100 dmg per sword - Enchanted with 30 fire dmg on hit) And a deadric bow (Also smithed to legendary for 268 damage). Light dragon scale armor with 1k armor rating. Armor is enchanted with +% bow damage, +stamina and +Health. Also a werewolf.

I can pretty much 1 shot anything, including blood and elder dragons, while armor rating absorbs all damage. In sneak mode, ofc. Usually takes 2-3 arrows to kill a dragon un sneaky like.

that pic is hilllarrrious.

well i've yet to get this game because i bought star ocean the second story, star ocean till the end of time, original GTA package (grand theft auto, gta london, gta 2) to satisfy my classic game needs....oh also shadow of the colossus.
once im done with those i'll get this game, hopefully i'll have upgraded my comp a bit before then. probably get a new vid card on boxing day sales

Thaylin is a Dark Elf and is shaping up to be a jack of all trades character. I used to make a custom class in Morrowind and Oblivion named "Shadow Knight" and he somewhat follows that build, except no illusion magic.

He likes to sneak and use his bow, but he is decked out in full Dwarven (lol) heavy armor and can go toe to toe with his foes when need be. He uses magic, mainly conjuration (bound sword), destruction when up close fighting isn't prudent and restoration when he's in a tough fight. One Handed is his preference, and his sword is dwarven as well. He's working the smith and just learned how to make Orcish weapons and armor.

Already have ideas for more characters I want to do, an Orc named Zugloc that uses warhammers and an Argonian thief. Can't wait.

EDIT: I usually don't use archery at all but it feels like it is so much better in this game I love it. Most of his perks are in Sneak, dual casting and half cost magics, smithing and just now building up one-handed.

Second character in the works: a very unusual stealth build. Khajiit female, focusing almost entirely on cowardice. Sneak, pickpocket, illusion, alteration, restoration, and a bit of conjuration and archery as well. Trying to take the game in a more stealth-oriented direction; it's quite a challenge to go to the end of a dungeon without killing any of the bandits. So far it's working okay-ish, sucks that draugr are immune to illusion but that's what turn undead is for. casting fury on a bunch of bandits has excellent results while they all kill each other and I run away.

You can level up your illusion quickly in a town by casting courage on everyone in the town. That way you can get to 90 quick so you can use your illusion on Draugr and Dwemer machines.

Ok, so i'm finally going to take a few minutes to describe my character. Had a busy weekend of going to the Zoo and watching movies to placate the wife. Annnnd about 20 hours of skyrim somewhere in there!

High Elf Mage - Necromancer

Essentially pure Conjuration and a little destruction. I focus on raising enemies that are killed (always bodies around in this world) and if not, I simply summon a frost atronach to destroy whatever is around along with my original merc from my buddy the Jarl.

I've found that enemies will always focus on the Frost Atronach, and will sometimes all group around, then he does his ground pound, and kills them all.

I've also put some point into destro just so I can lightening things up in case my summons get dominated (which happens on occasion).

The thing that kills me more often than anything else, mages. They seem to have a higher range than archers in this game, and an icespike to the melon, game over. It's also probably due to the fact that I've put every point into Magicka, and nothing into stam or HP.

Ulric The Giant - Nord

This is a new character I started today before work (and played 2 and half hours of...)

He is heavy armor, with no magic of any kind, no enchanted armor either. I'm focusing on smithing, 1h/shield, and it's looking like Mace mastery for him. So far i've managed to finish the first mission of the Companions line (guy reveals the secret of the inner circle).

So far I'm loving smithing, upgrading my weapons to massive damage potential. I've got a Steel mace with the (Fine) rating, which costs 1 steel ore, and it's boosted to 15 damage at level 2. Went through the first dungeon for that mission and got to level 5 and my 1h, blocking, and heavy armor, upwards of 30 already.

Really, really loving this character, and the mage might even get put on the backburner.
