A lot of games have come out this year and not all of them have been memorable...even with all the hype associated with their release.

For me it was Dragon Age 2 and Crysis 2. Both of which I forgot were released until they were brought up in a conversation a couple days ago. I played both games and then promptly forgot they existed.

So what games have you played this year only to forget they existed when you finished?

Crysis 2 and MW3... Seriously about MW3. I finished it a couple days ago and never touched it again, forgetting about it.

RAGE, Dead Island, and honestly, Black Ops. Totally forgot that game ever came out.

If we truly forget they existed we wouldn't be able to post anything in this thread.

That's until someone reminds us of their existence. To which you usually respond "Ohhhh, yeah. That came out this year? Man that game was just alright."

Wait, there is a Left 4 Dead? I thought there was just a 2 like Team Fortress 2.

This makes me sad. Team Fortress Classic is the destruction bro. It was an amazing shooter. If you haven't played it, you really should spend the 5 bucks and try it. It influenced many games.

Maybe not a release for this year but I got Fable III for Christmas last year, didn't play it until June, beat it and haven't touched it or thought about it since.

Total War: Shogun II, but it's my own fault because I bought it four days before Skyrim came out.

I must have chose the wrong emoticon, since I was kidding about the 2.

A game that I forgot I forgot about is DCUO.................so sad.

Dirt3 for me. Loved the first Dirt, Dirt2 was ok (racing/graphis were great, but that travel trailer menu was meh). Dirt 3 was just...too many menus, not enough racing to hold me. I put it down after playing a little over a quarter of the way through career mode and haven't picked it up again.

To me Killzone 3, I played it for a few days when it came out but I couldn't stop thinking how the game would be perfect for PC play. I didn't even remember I bought it until I found it last week buried in some books.

That's the last FPS I bought for console before I thought "ok controllers ain't my thing!".

Haven't forgotten, but haven't played Terraria in months.
On 12/1 there's supposed to be a huge content patch for it. They're adding 4-5 new bosses & a bunch of new enemies & items. I haven't played it in a while but that's because I'm waiting for the patch.

Oh my gorsh, I forgot all about Bulletstorm! Great game though.

I forgot about it.

Rented it for 1 day, got 3/4 through it in 1 sitting, game bugged, auto-saved, and wouldn't let me advance. Never played it again, and totally forgot about it until now. It was ok in my opinion.

Bf3...not that i didnt enjoy it i just find my self getting tired of shooters in general, probably why you guys havent seen me around much anymore iv been more into RPG's latly to me they seem better thought out all shooters are starting to blurr together for me well all "modern shooters" but since skyrim came out its all iv played

also i would add bulletstorm and shogun, although i did play shogun for a quite a while bulletstorm im not sure i even finished i just didnt enjoy it much it lost its appeal after a while and just felt like the same old same old
