Thanks! I went home for lunch (benefits of living 2-miles from work) and couldn't play. I downloaded the update for BF3 and now when I launch it, my screen is simply black. I can hear fighting going on in the background, and I show up in the team roster, but I can't see/do anything.

EA Live Support is about worthless. The guy is just giving me scripted responses, mixed with statements like "Have you performing these steps?"

It seems that the latest patch had a fix for this very issue...which is funny considering I didn't have the issue BEFORE the update and now I do. Grrr! I wanted to get my Javelin @ lunch!
