Alienware Tournament

hmm.. short notice. but Im a competitive player in tf2, might buy the bf3 now. Does BF3 Div. have a Competitive team?
 
Quick question (and I'd be the one to ask this): does anyone know if the Competition forum award will be handed out for this? Seeing as it is a competitive (yet ultimately for fun) event competing with other clans' teams, I would think it would be...but who knows?

This question I believe would be better suited for an advisor or division leader.

The Battlefield Division is currently in talks about such an event. Battlefield 3 is still relatively new, however when competitive events such as these come up the division may enter into it with permission.

I saw this tournament and wanted to partake with my fellow eGO members so I asked permission from leadership and council who eventually approved the competition. If enough players are interested and leadership approves I do not see why we cannot do competitive play.
 
Competitive events much like our normal events are on hold but should resume once we reconfigure the servers. As for the awards.. that's for me to know and you to find out :P
 
Count me in. As either a primary. Or reserve. I filled out form on google docs. If needed i can shell out the $$$$ for a 16 slot server for us to do this. With leaderships approval of coarse. Let me know and i will order it right away. That way we can hold any practice matches. Lemme know who our server provider is.

It would be nice to have a practice server for the tournament, that is up to you and leadership to decide. I will not force you to purchase a server.

Remember it may be a tournament, but it is also about being part of eGO in a competitive event and having fun.
 
I have added a roster to the first post, please check the roster to see what squad you are on, if you would like any changes let me know. For now the squads will be on rotation. Squad A will do the first match, then Squad B the next day, etc.

Substitutes may be on hand any day to assist the squad if they lose a member. If no substitute is available for the squad a primary from another squad may sub in.

This will all be outlined this Wednesday 11/30 @ 6PM PST on ventrilo.
 
So, as I sub I understand I'll be going if someone else can't, but will it be first come first serve with subs or will we be assigned/selected? Slash how will we know if we're needed?

Mainly it will be a pool of subs, first one to ask to play will be selected. I cannot rotate subs for the matches, it will be a first come first serve for each match.
 
Alright. Will we be notified when a sub is needed, or will we just all come when the matches are scheduled and figure it out then?

All subs are encouraged to come any day they would like to try and join the match. I am not forcing subs to come everyday. That is the point of being a sub you do not have that much time to give to the tournament. It will be a day by day basis, keep an eye on the team schedule to see when matches are coming up.

If you want to switch to a primary or vice versa from primary to sub let me know.
