Sorry guys but I cancelled it... the game just does not appeal to me what-so-ever. I've been playing the beta for a while now, one IA up to 45 and one sith warrior to 20, and the game is plain out boring. Once I left the starting zone with my second character, I virtually had to play the exact same missions...

And the combat is nothing new, same ol' hack-n-slash that you get from every other MMO. I know it is the basic blueprint for all MMO's but I've seriously played enough of them to grow tired of it.

Anyway, flame me if you so desire. Hope everyone has fun once retail launches.

But its STAR WARS, that trumps all! lol, sry to hear that man, iv played my share of MMO's 2, Matrix,GW,WoW,LotRO, and some others, and this is just owns them all in my book, the story telling, companions, its great. i understand what u mean about the combat, its pretty much the same, but hey, do what u gotta do.

Hmm yeah I'm feeling sketchy on it too, the story is nice and all but I feel like I could just youtube it. DDO was the only mmorpg whos questing didn't bore me to death and the addition of dialog would have covered it fairly well were it not for the fact that I spend way too much time just walking across giant hallways. Seriously why can I fit a tank down hallways to apartment buildings?!

I gotta say if it was any other MMO I would somewhat question playing it... But being its Star Wars its keeping my interest. The one thing I dont care too much for is the outside areas feel cramped and kind of small and in some cases like a labyrinth (at least the areas I have been in so far) WoW and some others felt much larger and I liked WoW while I played it but I prefer the Sci fi over fantasy... I miss playing Anarchy Online.

You are obviously not a Star Wars fan, and that is fine. There are plenty of awesome games out right now and coming soon. Sorry you didn't like it. :thumbup1:

Not true. I'm a Star Wars fan. I grew up with it. The story part of the game is interesting but repetitive...thus it's getting a little boring for me. :(

The pvp part of the game... the part which i was looking forward to the most.... :bored:

Bioware did state that pvp was going to be different. better. exciting. :confused1:

=/

I haven't played the beta yet, (due to my computer being a badiator) so I'm still looking forward to this awesome game. I have begun to question it though, as it looks like just another mmo, but in Star Wars form. P.S. I'm a Star Wars fanatic.

Gotta put the "space" of it in perspective, and for that you have to be a bit of an old school Star Wars geek. Everything in the movies is gigantic. The theory behind that is it is outer space, ergo everything has to be overbuilt. I am finding it odd that I spend more time traveling then questing, but the scenery is well done and acceptable. It will probably lose it's shine soon.

Actually the beta has impressed me to the point that I will probably pre-order it. Voice acting is great, the quest line has good points and the moral challenges actually remind me of what Fable was supposed to be.

It's clear all the extra time they spent on effects, sounds, etc. has paid off. I believe they need to tweak visuals a little more (AA?, triple buffering?) and it will be a go.

It's been said in General chat that some of the advanced graphics options, like AA, have been disabled during Beta. Also keep in mind that the engine is still being optimized up to the final hour, and the game is running with extra layers of debug code in place to help beta test.
