I'm fairly new when it comes to going hd, i know they're cables to plug in ect ect. But my main issue is, on the back of my tv instead of having he hdmi port it has a DVI-HDMI port/thing. Tv itself is RCA 50 inch, had it for few years. Am i screwed on going hd or any specific cables? and yes its an hdtv

Component. It's a little more confusing than HDMI, but it does the exact same thing. I'm pretty sure the Xbox comes with them.

Not all you need. You can get either one. I Know for a fact that GameStop sells HD component cables. They are universal cables also so they work with PS2 PS3 Xbox 360 and the Wii. But hooking up HD to your TV with component cables is much harder then HDMI. Its alot of chords and if you dont hook em up correctly your gonna have a hard time hearing no sound. lol But anyways. If you could ide just say go with HDMI. They are easy. And some are affordable. If you have other game systems that dont have HDMI ports then go ahead and get the universal component cables
