BF3 or Cod:MW3?

I was thinking about getting MW3 or BF3 but i have people saying that bf is waay better than cod and people saying it the other way around. Not sure which, but im thinkin CoD. Comments?

It depends on what you want. Mw3 really is the same thing as Mw2 just with some new stuff thrown in and a little better graphics (Can barely tell the difference) But BF3 Has a brand new gaming engine exclusive to themselves. They are both great games. But if you have ever played BFBC2 then you might want to get BF3. It has a much improved engine for the game. Plus campaign is beats COD. lol But i do think multiplayer beast BF3. All depends on what your looking for. (Have both. Love both)

I had bf3 for Ps3 but i returned it. I also had mw3, So i recommend you getting mw3, bf3 is just plain bad..

Flip that around. eGO actually has dedicated servers for MW3, not MW2. If he didn't buy MW2, definitely get MW3. If he already bought MW2, new storyline, dedicated server support, and different perk system/weapon customization doesn't make the purchase worth the cost. In that case, go with BF3.

Bf3, I like mw2 mainly because of cqc, but mw3 sounds like a map pack of mw2. Bf3 is a better overall teamplay game.

BF3 has better game play overall. The dog fighting, tanks and numerous vehicles and weapons to chose from. Plus, the maps are massive compared to MW3.

Have y'all actually played the game? Or just going off what somebody else has said...?

Unless a person has played BOTH games, they really can't give a true opinion on which one they think is better.

If you have played only one of them, you COULD give an opinion on what you like/dislike about IT...

People have already asked me which one I think is better, BF3 or MW3? I tell them I'm not qualified to answer that, because I have not played BF3, only seen online videos of it. It LOOKS pretty cool, but that' all I know about it...

I've come to this dilema a few times and decided: Skyrim.

If I were to choose between the two, however, I would have to go wih MW3. Yes, Battlefield is "Bla bla game of the year" named by some person no one has ever even heard of, but it is a team-relying game. If your team isn't decent (greifers, non tryers or just plain people who are bad), you will not win anything. Maybe it is the fact that I find the Battlefield series horrible after Battlefield 2, but nothing screams "Waste your money on me" about it. I did buy BC2 when it was $5, and I am still unranked. Over all, I believe the game looks a little too over rated.

As for MW3, it isn't as big of a bang as WaW to Black Ops, but it is more appealing than BF3. It is about personal skill (Much like what CS:S has become) and has, in my opinion, a much more incentive based and funner leveling and customization system.

I've played both and still say BF3

MW3 is similar. I just wish they changed the sounds, HUD, and had better designed maps (MW2 was okay, but COD4 maps were the best in the series imo). Plus some of the multiplayer features just seemed thrown in the game as if they ran out of ideas. Should it be a best seller? No, but it still beats the crap out of any Halo.

BF3 has a lot of similarities to BC2 too, but for being released only 1 and a half years later, it's crazy how much different it is. Obviously the Frostbite 2 engine is the biggest enhancement, and despite the recommended specs, it still runs surprisingly smoothly. Plus, nothing beats flying a jet in multiplayer, or seeing them firefight overhead on a 64 player server. The downside is if you're under level 10 (leveling takes forever compared to COD), it's extremely difficult to get started with the few under powered weapons. And Origin sucks (Steam clone) and launching from the web browser takes time to get used to.

I also own and have played both. Battlefield 3 is the victor in my book. When I look at MW3, I see claustrophobic maps, a not-so-interesting unlock and customization scene, and a rehashed engine that belongs in 2007. Battlefield 3, on the other hand, offers a brand new engine that boasts some of the most amazing visuals to date if you have the rig to push it, engaging and (for the most part) wide-open maps, and some of the most hectic and chaotic simulated combat I've ever seen. In short, Battlefield 3 brings so much more to the table (as far as sequels go) that comparing it with Modern Warfare 3 isn't even fair.

I mean, really. 6v6? 12v12 (at most)? If all you're looking to do is sprint around in circles gunning everything down, play Counter Strike: Source.

What it comes down to is what kind of game do you want to play. MW3 is a close quarters infantry only combat while BF3 is about working together with your teammates to coordinate infantry and vehicles on huge maps.

If you like the close quarters combat MW3 will probably suit you better but as some people have said it feels very samey to MW2 so if you've played MW2 you may be disappointed. If you want the huge open combat then go with BF3. If you played BC2 it is basically the same play style but there is a lot more thrown in. If you find BC2 boring you might find BF3 boring.

That's about as impartial an answer I could give. I personally have never played a COD game but I am going off of what friends have told me. BF3 I have played and I like it but it has the same general feel as BC2 so while there is a lot of new stuff the core gameplay is the same.

i have come to the conclusion i dont like either, COD has sucked since 4 and Bf3 didnt hold my attention, honestly most shooters today dont hold my interest what happened to when you just played a shooter to beat the enemy, both bf3 and mw3 concentrate more on getting weapons, ranking up, and unlocking crap that doenst matter, and both give unfair advantages to people who have owned the game longer or just play it more....in a game like CSS u only have an advantage of owning the game longer by the fact your experienced at the game, u can lose a gun fight in bf3 AND mw3 because they have a much better gun, this is why BF2 was my fav battlefield pretty much no upgrades and even the ones they did weren't game changers, and COD4 had it but they weren't that insane and the perks are just plain stupid and ruin the game for me and the reason i haven't bought more is because they keep adding perks that are even dumber and more BS than previous series, MW3 u can jump to the top of the baord from a lucky kill streak and then got air strikes and stupid crap that get u a bunch of random kills that took absolutely no skill to get. games like older shooters and CSS and such u only get an advantage by simply being better, or stupidity of the enemy

MW3 is pretty much just run around the map killing people at a fast pace and BF3 is more tactical and team oriented with a much slower pace (that's how I play BF3 anyway)...
