i have it installed and have an account but could someone tell me what it's for?

It gives you details on the site.... What it is for is pretty much this...When you connect to a server.. wherever it may be... your internet will ping many different locations before it reaches the actual server. What game rail does it pick the quickest and most convenient way to get to the server.. more pings... the higher your latency will be. Game rail reduces those numbers therefore it will lower your in game latency
