I get the blue screen restart - un installed some stuff but im still getting it and it restarts my computer - have to run in safe mode.

Still getting it, i start in save - unistal flash player and all is fine until i shut down and start back up.....

Sorry - when i start up my computer shuts down, and i have to start up in safe mode...the above error message comes up...im running windows 7, radeon hd 4850 (driver is updated)
 
Did your recently install new hardware or drivers? It's usually some type of hardware failure, the question is where to start. If it were me I would re-seat everything, start with your memory sticks. Over the years I've found that memory seating is the biggest cause of blue screens. If re-seating everything doesn't work remove your memory sticks and start with installing one (then boot), turn off and try another. This is all a shot in the dark but hey.... you have to start somewhere.

Worst case scenario do a format that way you rule out bad drivers or other corrupted software.
 
I Would Do A POST Test... (Power On Self Test)... Can Find The Problem If U Know Wht POST Test Is...

This sounds like a typical memory failure. Prior to the BSOD, did you install, download, add, remove anything from your system? I find that something along the lines of adding or removing a program, hardware, software usually results in a memory failure.

Download the MemTest program HERE and run it to see if an error occurs. The test usually takes a while to complete, so run it throughout the night. Read up on how to read the results of memtest on the page I provided.
 
Thanks - ive been running em test for about 3 hours now and no errors, had to open 4 windows to get it all ! The only update/instal i did was dc online, which upgraded my flash player...i have since unistalled them both. Either than that i have no idea....it didnt work last night and this morning i fired it up and no issues.....
 
No problem. Usually if there was a fault with one of your memory sticks, the test would have failed and resulted in a BSOD. If this did not happen, your sticks are in good condition.

Now, in case of future crashes, download the Microsoft debugging tool HERE. Once a crash happens after the tool is installed, follow the instructions listed below.


1) Locate your latest memory.dmp file- C:\WINDOWS\ Minidump\Mini081505-01.dmp or whatever
2) open a CMD prompt and cd\program files\debugging tools for windows\
3) type the following stuff:

(it will spew a bunch)
kd> .logopen c:\debuglog.txt
kd> .sympath srv*c:\symbols*http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols
kd> .reload;!analyze -v;r;kv;lmnt;.logclose;q

4) You now have a debuglog.txt in c:\, open it in notepad and post the content here

0x51 usually denotes a registry entry that has been corrupt and is causing the issue. Have you run a registry cleanup lately?

I would suggest following the steps fps has provided, however, as it is a surefire way to fix the issue.
