Server minimum player limit

I was just curious to see what people though of the 8 player minimum on our servers. I personally think it's to many. Basically unless we go in as a group the servers are hard to start. I would like to see the limit dropped to 4 so people can atleast mess around for awhile without having to find 8 ppl to get it going.

Leadership has changed it to 2 player(?) limit. This topic was discussed before and the answer to this problem its that everytime when the server restarts it resets everything to default and it really never changes back.

ok, so when the server is rebooted it goes back to 8? Seems like there is probably a work around for that. I tried to get the conquest server going, but right now it's set to 8 and people just come and leave.

It's one of DICE's anti-stat padding measures. We've tried and there is no way to lower it.

Well can't do anything about the 8 but in starting the server hop on to vent tell people to join ya. Easiest way say it once. Next is to keep bugging the ones who are in a full server and tell them help fill up "Server Name" and when its full they can leave and go back to what they were originally doing.

It's in the patch notes that the minimum for ranked servers has been upped to 4 player start from 1 player, 8 is the default and what the servers reset to after a crash. Unranked servers can still start at 1.

forty2 has hit the nail on the head. They all should be set to four. I tried knocking it down to 1 by setting it in the server config but EA/DICE overrode that and the server still took 4. Sometimes I find that it is actually 5 to start which I find really weird.
