so since ram was really cheap from black friday i bought 8gb more. i had 8 to begin with, but i have 4 slots and the 8gb was 2x2gb and 1x4gb...and way now i have 14gb total 2x4gb sticks and 1x2gb stick...so i had task manager open on one of my screens to see what bf3 used... the only thing i have open when im playing is orgin, battlelog, msi afterburner, task manager (just to see how much it used), and of course bf3... please help explain this.

Keep in mind how windows likes to use ram... the more you have.. the more it will utilize to ensure the programs are running smoothly..

bf3, win7 are memory hogs. I usally hve origin, firefox, bf3, msi afterburner open and it uses at least 50% of my ram (8g DDR2).
More RAM u hve=more RAM used

yes i took a pic of my right monitor with my phone because i didn't want it to go down when i minimized the game... i just dont get why it uses more because i have more... just seems very inefficient ... i think it should use what it needs then keep the rest free from other tasks.... thanks for clearing things up guys
