What do a rubber tube, baby diaper, and a cone have in common? They're all in or on Skippy right now...
So over this past week Skippy developed an abscess relating to his left anal gland, and the vet had to put make a couple of incisions to drain it out. He's thoroughly traumatized and rightly miserable, but hopefully he comes out of it bigger, stronger, and meaner! In the meantime I'll be taking out my own misery on any who should dare to venture into Donner...
Oh and for those of you who were wondering, the tube is to keep the two incisions open so I can drain his wound over the next 3 days, the diaper (with a hole cut out of it for his tail) is so he won't be able to touch his wound by scooting. And the cone is to prevent him from licking the wound (apparently until now my own mother thought cones were just to prevent dogs from biting).
