hey guys, heres 4 pcs im thinking between and like some help choosing which you guys think is the best and why.

Great card and ram. However, I would buy components separately. Savings on those combos are minimal, and you will notice the jacked up hdd prices included. Wait for a deal on one or reuse your old one for now. Those deals also usually come with terrible power supplies. They also have ram which you already purchased.

I would definitely go i5 2500k route with a $150 or so z68 mobo. PSU, maybe look at the xfx series or the corsair tx.

Personally, I'm with Huck. Pick it all out yourself, the combo savings on Newegg are minimal and you probably can make up for it on other combos.

i5 is a beast. But based on the above chosen, you have a $434 - $708 price range. You'd wipe out a lot of the build money with the Intel chip / mobo setup. Cost / performance AMD typically walks away from Intel. Plus, the AMD FX-4100 and a nice 990 AM3+ mobo, it will save you over $100, and, while a slower then the i5, in gaming you won't see the difference.

Plus you can place that extra money into a bitchin' graphics card, 8gb of memory instead of 4gb, and a decent CPU cooler since all the stock ones blow.

I Suggest you just go and build it yourself. Dont forget the GPU though. I Noticed none of those computers actually came with a GPU. So you gotta notice that what ever graphics cards come on the mobo you wont be able to play demanding games.


HURP DURP didnt notiuce you already had ram and GPU. lol But anyways. Disregard my post. Go ahead and pick whichever one you want. I Personally think of getting the AMD Bulldozer.

One of the combos has a 2600k. Now I would definitely go 2500k over that for the savings. However, bulldozer is too weak to recommend at its price point. I would recommend phenom ii over it. But definitely go 2500k. Best performance for the price out there.

2500k goes for $219.

FX 4100 goes for $119. That's a lot of dough. Is the 2500k really that much better?

Phenom is still the best buy. Even my 1090t is only $169 and it performs just fine in all my games. I say save the money and roll it into more memory and a nice mobo.

Memory is $30 for 8gb of 1600. No reason to spend more there. You can actually save money by not getting a combo there. A 4100 is four cores. The 8xxx are 8 cores and get beat by sandy easily. They even get beat by phenom iis at times. So yes, it is definitely worth it for the 2500k. A better mobo will not get him much more. Two x8 pci-e slots is more than enough for him as well as the overclocks a mid range mobo will get him. Not worth it to spend more for little return.
