I purchased my expansion pack for BF3 today from origin for $ 14.99 USD. Karkand & Wake Island were too of my favorite maps in BattleField 2. Hopefully it will be as exciting as before. Swamp

I thought I got ripped off when I purchased the limited edition of the game and then I realized that Back to Karkand and Wake Island were included :cool_old:

And what about sharqi and oman? Personally during my BF2 days I would only play Karkand and Sharqi when it came to vanilla maps. Considering that Oman/ Wake offer a different play style than Karkand/ Sharqi I think they all 4 need to be in the rotation.

B2K lands on 12/14. Hopefully it will come with some new gameplay modes and some new co-ops. Maybe some 7 flag conquests.

What happened to free DLC for the PC? The only thing in BC2 that cost money were the Vietnam pack and skins.
Plus it's crazy early for DLC. It's not even been 2 months.

They realized they could sell them and people would still buy them.
Also this was announced at launch (or before) so I dont find it that crazy that its so early. I have a feeling it might have been planned as launch content but that trying to get the game out before MW3 meant some things needed to be held back.... then of course they realized they could make more money by selling it.

That's actually the only reason I didn't pre order it after playing the beta. Origin was just a Steam copy and it was frustrating.
But I guess that's my fault for not getting the LE, then I wouldn't be complaining

im still learning the new maps having not played bf2 but they are pretty cool so far, sorta annoying to play as sniper some times, and oh so frustrating last night when me chopper refused to fire its flares at any point.....
