Seasonal Gaming

[acefisher1]

So I was curious what everyone else thinks about the holiday season and gaming as a pair.

I know I always like to play games with a wintery theme around this time of year, and I have a list of a few that really stand out for me, but I'm sure i'm missing some. What do you guys like to play?

For me:

Mafia 2: Set in a big city similar to Chicago (hometown for me) in winter.

MMO's: I enjoy the christmas events of the various MMO's, WoW and Guild Wars to name a couple.

Global Agenda: This game was a christmas gift and I always feel like playing it this time of year.

Diddy Kong Racing: There's a christmas themed portion of the game, and I always loved this game. One of my classic favorites.

Any solid RPG: I really enjoy the RPG genre in winter. I always like to sit in the house, stay warm, and enjoy a good story, whether it be a book, or a game. I'm currently looking for my RPG choice for this year, something old, maybe The Last Remnant.

So post your holiday games, and why you like them for this time of year. Also, Merry Christmas! I know I always look forward to the Steam Sale!

CS:S

and hopefully soon CS:GO

I've played counter-strike since 2004ish. I remember playing bots on cs_siege for hours back in 1.3

Sadly, my L337 4 digit steam account was vac-banned after I started using hac... I mean custom sound files that I DID download from fpsbanana. I sent literally 50 emails to valve petitioning my ban. I didnt use hacks, I used custom sound files to replace the current sounds in game. Their response was a generic "against valve gaming policy" bla bla...

Funny thing is, now everyone can download custom sound files to use. I no longer download any skins/sounds/HUDs for that very reason.

Sorry this was off topic, just got me thinkin...
