New Server Setup

All Team Fortress 2 servers have been moved to a brand new dedicated server located in Kansas, US. In addition to better reliability and performance, all servers are now utilizing the Replay system which will allow you to capture your most awesome gameplay moments, even on Blackmesa!

The old servers are now locked and will soon be shut down, so don't forget to spread the word about these major changes.

If I may, why the change in location? My ping time for all of these servers is well over 100ms (with the exception of 2Fort #2, which is fluctuating between 60 and 90ms), roughly triple what it used to be. Am I the only one not getting said "better reliability and performance", or are others noticing similar problems?

I can agree. My ping with all the servers now stays above a good 150, and it's really ticking me off as the lag is making it terrible to play now. I'm not getting any said "better reliability and performance" either.

I'm going to have to chime in here. This is an odd move to me, because I went on the new servers a few hours ago, and I didn't quite notice anything too elaborate in improvement, with regards to better reliability and performance, as it was said. I mean, unless it was some sort of technical dysfunction with the servers themselves previously, I could understand that. I also suffer from the ping uppage, it's leaving me on the border of 100 which is the threshold for delay and so on. I just hope it can sort itself out.

Same here, my ping is now twice what it was on the previous blackmesa server. If the replay thingy is causing this, I'm all for dumping it. But I was told it wasn't the problem.

My ping is higher but I'm having less lag so well done !

Higher ping overall here too, servers seem higher fps or something but got 40-50 more ms now than I used too. My game name is Roflcopter btw
