Do we know what type of server it is? Pvp, pve or rp?

Edit: Nvm, just saw the email, and checked the server's page, good grief, lets hope we dont get into any galactic pvp.

Maybe the 16 guilds have twice the members and they balanced it by members and not number of guilds.... That would be my initial assumption, more guilds does NOT mean more players on one side or the other.

Yea, from what I could tell, just by looking around the Guild HQ the past few weeks, is that a lot of guilds only had like 10-15 people in them.

And we will always have the Guilds who pop up after launch, so all in all, I think it will turn out to be close to even numbers.

A quick question (regarding early access time)

Let's say I bought the game in August, put in my code and all for early access. Cancelled my preorder in Early November, and repurchased it after the thanksgiving beta, am i still set for August month time area for early access?

Hope it's a balanced server.

Not surprised to see more people going "Dark Side" though. Most of us are WoW transplants, and on all the servers I played on Horde ripped Alliance apart in PvP, especially in BGs. Total domination.

after doin some calculating, i can tell you this:

Total Republic Players ( in guilds ): 969
Total Empire Players ( in guilds ): 2529

So it seems the Empire will have 2,6x as much players then the Republic. I think it would have been better if EA actually checked the amount of players in each guild, so the amount of players would be pretty much equal.

So not only is our server named after a place in a SWtOR comic, it would seem that port nowhere will be a location in the mmo, if the info on the link above is correct, it will be involved with upper mid to high level smuggler missions

Is this game worth it? This or ArmA 2? I'm into games like skyrim, and RO2. Not sure about ArmA

Star wars is worth it in my opinion. However, if you don't want to pay monthly fees to play it's not an option... But it is definitely fun and is similar to the skyrim, RPG, style game.

Arma 2 is an ultra-realistic FPS style game. If you really like RO2's realistic style, this is even more of it and in a modern military scenario.

If you can afford it, get both... SWTOR is $60 with a monthly fee of around $13-15(forget what it is off-hand) Maybe wait for the steam sale for ARMA2, it'll be pretty cheap I'm sure.

That seems like a fair handicap for the Empire, though it might not be enough for them. We'll just have to see how badly the Republic rolls over them :lol:

Also, this means that the likelihood of encountering lines is going to be 2.6x higher on the Empire side

I like the name "Port Nowhere" it sounds really mysterious like a deserted town or something.

I know what PvP is but I forgot what it means to be on a PvP server. Is that like at anytime you can be ganked by the opposing alignment? Or is that also possible in PvE?

Also are we gonna do any RP or maybe some semi-RP, as an optional thing? To get into the Star Wars mood.
